How to Get Rid of Streaks On My Shower Door
Banish soap scum and hard water stains from your shower door without harsh chemicals. Try these tips for cleaning your glass shower door, and to keep them gleaming after each use.
Cleaning your shower door with lemon: Cut a lemon in half and dip the cut side in baking soda, then rub on both sides of the glass door. The acid in the lemon reacts with the baking soda, making a sudsy foam.
Cleaning your shower door with vinegar: For a homemade shower-door cleaner, mix white vinegar, and dish detergent (such as Dawn), in equal proportions. Spray the solution on the front and back of the doors and let it stand for about 30 minutes. Rinse off the solution using fresh water and a sponge, and then dry the glass with a microfiber cloth.
Extra tips and tricks:
- Stick to a steady cleaning schedule
- Keep shower-door tracks clean
- Never use an abrasive cleaner or scouring pads- these can scratch the surface
- Use a squeegee to wipe down the door after every shower
