Heading Off to College? Three Tips to Make Sure Your Car is Ready

Before you hit the road, however, it is advisable to double-check your car’s maintenance. Below is a list of tips to make sure your car is ready.

Tire check: Check your tire pressure and condition. If the treads are too worn, you may need to replace your tires. If your tires are in good condition, you may need to adjust the air pressure and have the tires rotated if necessary.

Fluid check: Have a mechanic check the fluids in your car so that it can drive smoothly and not break down. These fluids include oil, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, antifreeze, brake fluid, and windshield washer fluid.
