Apollo Glass Gives Back: Wrestling4Life

 In Apollo Glass Gives Back

Apollo Glass is passionate about supporting our community and the wonderful resources it has to offer. In 2019, we decided to “put our money where our mouth is” and donate a portion of our profits to local organizations each quarter. We are proud to be a part of a community that supports one another and want to help deserving organizations serve those in need.

For the first quarter of 2020, we are happy to support Wrestling 4 Life, a non-profit organization dedicated to suicide prevention and crisis control for first responders. Wrestling4Life works to provide public servants such as police officers, firefighters, EMS, correction officers, and Veterans, with a Life Coin to remind them support is just a call away. Wrestling4Life also assists in training seminars, peer recovery, and support groups.

For founder Carol Castle, this is now a life mission. When her son Maury, a firefighter, took his own life two years ago, she was astonished to learn that suicide rates among first responders were more than double the national average. She has worked tirelessly to increase public awareness on this issue and provide Life Coin’s to departments in need. Wrestling 4 Life coins are eye catching and weighted, with a visible, encrypted Safe Call Now line phone number; designed to be carried as a constant reminder there is someone available to talk. Safe Call Now centers are anonymous and answered by current or retired police officers or firefighters with experience. When in crisis, often all we need is a lifeline and someone to listen. Considered a lifeline for pockets, Wrestling4Life hopes to get a Life Coin for every first responder in the USA and Canada.
