Apollo Glass Gives Back: WCCA | Food Shelf

Communities throughout Wright County use Apollo Glass for their glass needs….we would like to reciprocate the work to the surrounding areas by choosing the Wright County Food Shelf as the next recipient of an AGGB donation.

The WCCA (Wright County Community Action) Food Shelf offers a variety of nutritious foods for families in need in the Wright County area. In addition to addressing the need for food, their mission is to ensure families have the resources to meet all their basic needs by providing numerous programs and services. Community support is an irreplaceable part of The WCCA, here are a few ways you can support them too: 

• Holiday Food Baskets: The WCCA is currently working on fulfilling food baskets for the holidays and is in need of non-perishable food items.

• Volunteer: They are constantly looking for volunteers to help them further expand their programs and services in wright county. Sign up to volunteer here.

• Monetary Donation: 100% of all contributions go to support WCCA programs and services. Monetary donations help keep shelves stocked and programs running smoothly. What programs rely on local donations?

• • Food Security Programs
  • The Aging Programs
  • The Thrift Shop (in Waverly)
  • Emergency Funding
  • And all community engagement programs.

• Thrift Donation: The WCCA also runs a thrift store where all the proceeds go to the food shelf. They accept new and used merchandise including shoes and clothing for children and adults, household items, toys, and other items. Learn more about WCCA’s thrift shop here.

Apollo Glass is going to donate $3,000 to the Wright County Food Shelf this holiday season to help their mission of fighting hunger in Wright County.

Apollo Glass is passionate about supporting our community and the wonderful resources it has to offer.
