Why We Choose to Support Buffalo Food Shelf

Food insecurity is an issue that affects families in our community and beyond. While we may not see the struggles firsthand every day, we know that countless individuals rely on the Buffalo Food Shelf for essential support. Apollo Glass aims to play a role in addressing this challenge by committing a portion of our profits to the Buffalo Food Shelf.

About Buffalo Food Shelf

Buffalo Food Shelf is a Christian, non-profit, community-based organization serving individuals and families that receive limited financial assistance or are going through a crisis and need help feeding their family. Additionally, to act as a referral, information, and assistance center between persons or families in need and social agencies that can best fill and/or meet these needs.

The food shelf distributes food and hygiene products to families the first Monday morning of each month, Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and Friday mornings. Boxes of produce and bakery goods are available to anyone in need at the Friday drive-thru events.

Along with the normal hours of operation, there are other programs offering extra food during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter, as well as during summer and other school breaks for children in the Kid’s Choice program. Other events include Fare-For-All at Zion Lutheran Church, the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive in May, and more. You can find their hours and distribution events here
