Shower Up!

 In Shower Doors

Thinking about updating your bathroom? A new shower perhaps? There are a few things that you need to know and understand before you start. DIY might be all the rage but there are some tasks that should be left to the professionals and installing glass shower doors defiantly is one!

So first things first; after demolition is the rebuild but before you get too carried away, make sure you have a technician (from the installation company) come look at the shower before any tiles are installed. Some shower designs don’t allow for glass to be installed. To make sure you get the shower you always wanted you will want an expert to tell you if some construction needs to be changed in order to install a glass shower.

Next is the fun part! You can decide if you want a frame or frameless shower door. Frameless shower doors are 3/8” clear tempered glass and a pattern can be ordered on both frame and frameless doors. And if you want to add a little more you can have a design sandblasted onto the glass.

Hardware is up next! The finishes only come in chrome, brushed nickel, and oil rubbed bronze but the style of the hardware seems to be endless! There are lots of choices for the hinges and handles. This part can be changed out if you decide you don’t like your choice but it is always easier to be satisfied from the start.

Just about done- all that’s left is to install those beautiful new doors! After the tiles have been installed the measurements can be made for the glass. The turnaround time from measurement to install is about two weeks. Installation is quick and easy on the technician if you took all of the necessary step above.

Then….

Walla! You have a gorgeous new shower to enjoy every day!
